Description
What Is Sage Meadow Farm Caprine Vinyasa? That's simple - yoga with Goat Kids! This is a 45 minute yoga class with baby goats, followed by a half hour of free-time to just hangout with the goat-kids. This is a beginner's yoga class, so anyone over the age of 12 can attend (we may be offering a separate class for younger folks this year too!) Our yoga instructors will blend movements and gentle stretches with the playful antics of baby goat kids. Try the downward goat or stretching-kid poses! All you need is your mat, a sense of adventure, and a maybe water bottle. We will provide the rest. (We have a limited supply of yoga mats.) THINGS TO KNOW: The classes will be held in the Boylston Room at the East End of Keystone Enterprises , 122 Pleasant St, Easthampton. Limited street parking is available in front, and there is a parking lot to the left of Gerry's Variety, across the street on the West End of the Keystone building. Please arrive early (15-30 minutes) so that you can have plenty of time to find parking, locate the venue, and to sign in and get settled. Please bring yoga mat! We have SOME extras, but supplies are limited. Please note that this class will take place with LIVE BABY GOATS. Dress comfortably and in clothes that are suitable for yoga yet allow you to interact with goats. Baby goats, in various ages and sizes, jump and nibble ... and they might poo/pee. We have a team of volunteers ( "Pee-Patrol") that will quickly clean up after the goats, but please be aware that there is the possibility of these substances encountering your belongings. We highly recommend a rubberized mat, or one that can be easily wiped off just in case. Cloth mats are discouraged as they can not be cleaned as easily, but that is completely up to you. Space is very limited this year, and is first come, first serve - so sign up TODAY! The class sizes are limited so that we do not overwhelm the goat-kids, and we want all attendees to have the opportunity to safely interact with the animals. Sorry, we cannot switch you into a different class once you have registered so please be sure of the date and time before signing up! Click on dropdown menu above for dates and times. All attendees MUST sign a liability waiver, or a parent/guardian MUST sign a waiver for any attendee under the age of 18. Please bring printout of receipt as proof-of-purchase. Waivers will be available and must be signed at the door. No refunds and no changes to class date/times. (If we cancel a class, then refunds will be issued.) These classes will benefit the following causes: Our goal with these classes is to raise the following donations: - ($2000) Yoga With Angelica - Angelica volunteers her time working with Western Mass Wellness & Recovery, and she would like to offer a series of yoga classes for Survivors of Sexual Trauma, as well as a free monthly workshop for Thrive attendees. - ($2000) Easthampton Community Center - provides services and assistance to residents of the greater Easthampton area. The Center provides a Food Pantry, Community Care Kitchen, and a Clothing Closet. - ($2000) Cloa’s Animal Sanctuary - Provides food, shelter and love to all sorts of rescued animals. - ($500) Easthampton Farmers’ Market - promotes regional agriculture to ensure a continuing supply of fresh, local produce in Easthampton.
