On Friday, March 24th, Mt. Hood Community College will be hosting a Celebration of Life for long-time MHCC automotive instructor, Jerry Lyons. Jerry was hired as a full-time faculty member in 1996, and played a significant role in establishing the successful Ford ASSET program we have today. He worked closely with Ford dealers across the state as well as the Ford Motor Company in providing students with the best hands-on educational experience possible. Outside of the classroom, he was actively engaged in the community, and organized car shows that promoted the industry, the college, and helped students through raising funds for scholarships. In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations to the Jerry Lyons Memorial Scholarship. QR code below. The event will be held in the Automotive Lab (IT18) on Mt. Hood Community College Gresham campus. Parking is available in lot J on the east side of campus near the Applied Technologies building.
