Welcome to the Washington Emergency Public Information Network (WEPIN) workshop! This is a free, in-person workshop. Join the WEPIN Board and your fellow PIOs and communicators from across the state as we learn and share on a variety of topics, as well as network. Topics may include (we will update when confirmed): Combatting misinformation, disinformation, and the pre-written narrativeCase studies: lessons from the fieldValue of internal communications during a crisisDeveloping materials that serve the whole community, including residents with access and functional needsOptions and best practices for translating messages and materialsA WEPIN membership meeting will follow the workshops. We do encourage people to attend the full Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference and take advantage of the great topics that will be presented.
