Join us for a transformative art therapy experience hosted by Golara Haghtalab. This event offers a safe and supportive space for participants to explore their emotions, creativity, and inner selves through various art modalities. Golara will guide you through the creative process and offer insights into how art can help promote emotional and psychological healing. Through art, she has found a way to express herself and connect with others, and she hopes to share this healing journey with you - whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking a creative outlet, art therapy can offer a powerful tool for self-exploration and growth. During this event, participants will have the opportunity to engage in art activities, such as painting. Golara will provide guidance and support as needed, but the focus will be on self-exploration and personal expression. No prior art experience is necessary, as this event is open to everyone regardless of their artistic ability. All materials will be provided, so all you need to bring is an open mind and a willingness to explore. Join us for an enriching and transformative experience that celebrates the healing power of art. Whether you're looking to process difficult emotions, gain insight into your inner self, or simply engage in a creative activity, our art therapy event offers a unique opportunity for self-discovery and growth. Where: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library - 901 G St NW, Washington, DC 20001 About the Host: Golara Haghtalab is a multidisciplinary creative based in Washington, DC. As part of her creative engagements, Golara has facilitated several community art workshops and given speeches at the Creative Mornings and local design gatherings. Haghtalab holds a Bachelor’s degree in both chemistry and studio arts from the University of Virginia and a Master’s in organization development from American University. Tickets KAMA DC is a volunteer-run non-profit and largely relies on individual donations. We have made tickets available at $5.
