Description

MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL PRESIDENTGreetings A-PLUS Members, Supporters, Sponsors, Family and Friends: On behalf of the A-PLUS National Executive Board, you are invited to attend our 36th Annual National Convention on April 12–16, 2023 to be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 300 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130-1104. The theme for this year is: “Creating Connections-Building Bridges...Together”. Southern Region President Josephine Wooley, New Orleans Chapter President Celestine Jackson and the NOLA Chapter host convention committee are diligently preparing for your arrival to the wonderful city of New Orleans, rich in music, history, and culture. As we settle in our “New Normal” post-pandemic, A-PLUS would like you to use this event as an opportunity to boost your professional network, strengthen your skills, and revitalize your relationships. The National Convention is a unique event that allows hundreds of members and officers over our five regions around the United States to gather in one location, network and share experiences and expertise, be recognized for their achievements, and participate in the official proceedings of the A-PLUS organization. The convention also provides opportunities to discover new ideas in 0perations, customer services, and other unique career fields, while interacting with speakers, presenters, vendors and sponsors that members might not otherwise encounter. We are so excited to announce that we will have the Postmaster General Louis DeJoy speak at the national convention. Also, A-PLUS will have a national presence of postal officers and executives from all over the nation and higher-level management officials whose insight and expertise can help enhance your career development. Because the host city has a city-wide event, hotels are expected to be fully booked, and this convention anticipates attendance in record numbers; therefore, the registration packet is being mailed early so you can register early for the convention and secure your accommodations. The host hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, in downtown NOLA, and we are happy to provide an overflow hotel a short distance away for your convenience. Please see the host hotel Information page for details. This website has been updated with information and you can register here, right now. Connect to event links via USPS / African American Postal League | NatCon23 at NOLA (aplus.cc). At the A-PLUS 36th Annual National Convention in “The Big Easy”, we plan for exciting new things for you, and encourage you to invite a friend to share in networking, training, and southern hospitality. Putting your best self out there will always pay off in a big way, and this is worth the investment in yourself. I am absolutely looking forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy the convention!
