The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Office of Women’s Health and Community Health is kicking off its “Listen to H.E.R.: Hearing, Empowering, Responding” town hall series in March. LDH will be hosting town halls in all nine public health regions. The first event will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. at 6201 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge (Please enter the building from the Ardenwood Dr. entrance). The goals of the town halls are to: elevate women’s health needs;promote local and state resources and services and inform the priorities of LDH’s new Office of Women’s Health and Community Health. Community members in attendance can hear personal testimonies from special guests and participate in health screenings, resource fairs, cooking demonstrations, and other interactive activities. There is no cost to attend the town halls, but registration is required.
