EVENT START-END | 7 pm - 9 pm CDT DOORS OPEN | 6:45 pm CDT WHERE | Bear Necessities Coffee Bar, 9609 W. 87th St, Overland Park, KS 66212 FOOD/DRINKS | Signature coffee, timeless cocktails, craft beer, and wines will be available for sale. PARKING / PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION | Parking lot is available on site. ACCESSIBILITY | Bear Necessities Coffee Bar is wheelchair accessible. COVID-19 PROCEDURES | We encourage vaccination for this event, for the safety of staff and other attendees. What’s It Like? Bring your friends (or come by yourself - most people do), and spend your Tuesday night at an event where you know everyone else is there for the same reason— to have the kinds of conversations that you really care about. We’ll provide lots of structure around these conversations to make sure you actually talk to people and it’s not awkward. We'll also give you ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you share. You’ll have plenty of conversational prompts on hand to get you started. Prompts such as, "When are you the happiest?" and, "If you were going to become close friends with me, what would I need to know about you?" Not feeling like answering a particular question? No worries, we'll have plenty to choose from and you always have the option of coming up with your own question to discuss. Check-in for this event will begin around 6:45 pm. Please do your best to arrive before 7:00 pm so we can begin as close to on time as possible. Skip the Small Talk is dedicated to providing an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone.
