This is the re-enactor pre-registration page for the Great War Days WWI event at Rockford's Midway Village Museum, April 28-30. This is a public display event with battle re-enactments. Camping on site is permitted and encouraged. The site includes a main battlefield with opposing trenches. The main trench includes 4 bunkers with 20 bunk beds that museum tours will go through. The museum has a village made up of 22 historic buildings and a main street. The buildings each house WWI displays. Camping is also allowed on the village grounds. Friday is a set up day. Saturday and Sunday are the public display and reenactment battle days. The event usually draws about 250-300 reenactors that includes impressions from 1914 to 1918.
