This Symposium aims to elevate, educate and support those fighting one of the most common chronic diseases that few have heard of - Endometriosis (Endo). According to the World Health Organization, this chronic systemic disease affects 1 in 10 women, transgender, and gender-diverse people – about 200 million people worldwide from ages 8 to 80. Endo is almost just as common as diabetes in women, yet remains to be one of the least funded diseases in medical research to date.
