This UW School of Veterinary Medicine Career Exploration: Veterinarian event is geared for youth in grades 3-13. Participants will engage in hands-on activities including: wellness exams, scrubbing in for surgery, x-ray vision, under the microscope, caring for exotic pets, veterinary jeopardy, career planning, and more! Ages: Each group is limited to 20 youth. Register soon! • Grades 3-6 • Grades 7-13 3-13th grade welcome! Grade 3-5 participants must have a parent/guardian/adult present during the event. Parents/guardians of youth in 6 grade+ are also welcome to stay during the event, but not required. Friends welcome! Parking: Lot 59 (2125 Observatory Dr) and Lot 4 (437 Easterday Ln) are both free surface lots close to the vet school. The Linden Drive Ramp in front of the school is not free but if people choose to pay for parking it is available. There is construction which can make getting here a bit difficult. The main entrance is on Linden Drive and there is a side entrance by the vet hospital on Easterday Lane. • Cancelation up to 7 days before event.
