Open to everyone, especially those who want to change the world and themselves at the same time! A Course in Miracles (also referred to as ACIM or the Course) is a 1976 book by Helen Schucman. The underlying premise is that the greatest "miracle" is the act of simply gaining a full "awareness of love's presence" in a person's life. The Course was scribed by Helen Schucman, a Medical Psychology Professor at Columbia University, during the years of 1965 to 1972. Schucman said that the book had been dictated to her, word for word, via a process of "inner dictation" from Jesus Christ. In this dictation are the tools a self-study program with an approach that is quite unique. It is designed to bring a consistent state of happiness and peace to the student by applying its principles. These principles can seem radical and not from this world. However, this uncompromising and fresh approach is very effective for those looking to heal abandonment, victimhood, and any other seeming lifelong issues. Everyone interested in exploring ACIM or their personal spirituality are invited to this year long course that meets once a week on Mondays from 6:30-8 pm.
