Lara Kalwinski, Assistant General Counsel at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 1999 Lilly Scholar, will be in town to join the conversation. This opportunity is exclusive to Lilly Scholars. About Lara: Lara Kalwinski is an Assistant General Counsel at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Lara not only has a career in philanthropy, she is also a product of it, by receiving a life-changing four-year full scholarship to any Indiana college as a 1999 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. Prior to joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as Assistant General Counsel, Lara served as in-house counsel with faith-based organizations, community foundations, humanitarian and development organizations, and public charities. Recognition of Lara’s community, academic, and professional accomplishments include the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, Nonprofit Organizations Committee, Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer Award for In-House Counsel and the Indiana Governor's Award for Tomorrow’s Leaders.
