RIDE|RUN|ADOPT 10 Mile Bike Ride|10K|5KA local event purposed to provide funding support for a family in their journey towards adoption. People are created to dwell in community and it takes a community to help families thrive. As a group of local friends, families, and business owners our hope is to foster a sense of kinship and remind others they do not have to weather life’s challenges alone. By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. We have seen amazing success with community fundraisers, all because of the people who have chosen to rally around those in need. It is our hope that this event too, will see great success. Moving forward, it is our aim to make this the first annual RIDE|RUN|ADOPT, and continue to support other families in their adoption dreams. We are so excited to see you on race day and are deeply grateful for your support. The FamilyEach year we would like to use this event to support another local family or families who have begun the adoption process. Mark and Kirsten McGaffee are a local family in Oakdale and have two beautiful girls, Hailey and Emma. Three years ago they suffered an immeasurable loss when their son, Jedidiah, was welcomed into Heaven. Their pain was deep, but they knew their family wasn't finished growing. Over time, the McGaffee’s have been led to adopt not one, but two, children from Liberia. The steps to bring their children home have begun but the cost is high. The funds from RIDE|RUN|ADOPT this year will go directly to the McGaffee’s and help reach their financial goal. We hope to get them closer to their fundraising goal with this event so they can welcome their precious children home soon.
