Description

The Central Valley Community Investment Collaborative is informal initiative comprised of banks, credit unions, philanthropic organizations, public/private entities, with support from various Central Valley Non-Profits. The CVCIC also hopes to increase visibility of various local nonprofit organizations, identify needs in the community, impactful projects, and initiatives for local and national partnership funding. Purpose: CVCIC exists to maximize the impact of charitable investment capital flowing into the Central Valley Region of California by coming together, aligning diverse funding efforts with the various partners involved, and uplifting high-impact projects/programs targeting low- and moderate-income (LMI) communities. Other key areas would be to maximize collective efforts in the following areas: ▪ Building relationships ▪ Sharing opportunities ▪ Providing learning opportunities ▪ Leveraging resources Projects: The CVCIC will fund existing, high impact (i.e., number of people served and partnerships) project(s)/programs(s) in the Central Valley of California. Proposed project(s)/program(s) must align with 1 or more of the following focus areas along with the Community Reinvestment Act1 (CRA) requirements: ▪ Small Business Technical Assistance ▪ Workforce Development ▪ Affordable Housing ▪ Community Services for Low to Moderate Individuals
