YMHFA teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among youth (6-18). The class will cover many topics including: trauma, the impact of social media, signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges in adolescents, how to interact with an adolescent in crisis, how to get an adolescent help, and more! This certification course is free and open to anyone! Wes Rider from DCDHHS and Melissa Reese from Eastpointe will be coming to teach this class at RC3 on May 22nd, 2023, 9am-5pm. There will be a 1 hour lunch break.Registration is on Eventbrite.
