War, peace, and the courage to find common ground. Join A Peace of My Mind's John Noltner for the first in our Creative Changemakers series. We will screen Beyond the Divide, followed by an on-stage interview with the film's producer and director, Jan Selby. There will be popcorn, candy and beverages on hand. Through the courageous acts of a Vietnam veteran and a peace advocate, BEYOND THE DIVIDE illuminates a path to healing old wounds while reimagining peace. In BEYOND THE DIVIDE, audiences discover how a small-town art crime sparks furious passion and reignites animosity left unresolved since the Vietnam War. In this character-driven film surrounded by the natural beauty of Montana, Veteran Dan Gallagher and peace advocate Betsy Mulligan-Dague demonstrate how compassion, respect and courage can heal old wounds and build a path to peace. Jan Selby is an award-winning Filmmaker whose work has been screened internationally in settings ranging from film festivals and art museums to university classrooms and on Public Television. BEYOND THE DIVIDE premiered
 at Montana’s Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and won Best Feature Documentary at the Peace on Earth Film Festival. After a year of traveling to festivals world-wide, BEYOND THE DIVIDE was broadcast on Twin Cities Public Television, which led to national distribution by American Public Television. A gifted storyteller, John Noltner has worked on four continents, gathering stories of human courage, grace, and resilience. He has produced projects for national magazines, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations. He is the founder and Executive Director of A Peace of My Mind, a multimedia arts project that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides and build community. Through exhibits, workshops, lectures, on-site studios, and distance learning, A Peace of My Mind leads transformative experiences that help a polarized world rediscover the common humanity that connects us.
