Sylvsmidja has been making bunad silver jewelry in Voss, Norway, for 80 years and is the leading maker of traditional Norwegian sølje pieces as well as contemporary and Viking-inspired silver jewelry.
For the first time, they will be visiting the Pacific Northwest and presenting their jewelry at the Swedish Club on Sunday, March 19, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Three Crowns Room. Third-generation owner Anne Kari Salbu, along with CEO Trond Syversen and goldsmith Anders Fagerthun, will present their exquisite handcrafted jewelry and talk about its history and what’s new today.
In addition to showing and selling silver pieces, Sylvsmidja is also offering the opportunity for customers to bring in one piece of their own sølje jewelry for a complimentary cleaning, assessment, and information.
And, of course, coffee and delicious refreshments will be served.
Best of all, this event is free and open to the public, but please be sure to make a reservation.
Velkommen — welcome!
