At Curriculum Associates, we believe that (s)he who does the talking does the learning in a K-8 math classroom. We’ve grounded our approach in research and what we know works for teachers and students in Louisiana and would love an opportunity to geek out about all things math and discourse. We will address the following questions and more: Why and How should we be positioning students to take ownership of their learning? What can teachers do today, tomorrow, and next month to nurture student confidence in engaging in productive math discourse?What should teacher development look like and what resources do we have available to accelerate their learning?
