The Bloody Tinth, an is an americana, celtic, songwriter group from Cincinnati, OH. Their five piece, high energy Celtic rock band will pair nicely with the eccentric circus vibe of Bircus Brewing Co. nicely! About the Bloody Tinth: In the summer of 2008 siblings drummer Michael Sams and violinist Rachel Schott, after a pint or two (or five), clinked glasses and vowed to collaborate on an Irish-influenced American rock band. After the beer goggles came off they realized that drums and fiddle alone weren't going to make a band so they rolled up their sleeves and started searching for someone who could play guitar. And sing. And write songs. Soon their mutual friend Craig ('slist) introduced them to Ryan Gorsuch, a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Ryan introduced Michael and Rachel to multi-instrumentalist Joe Kendall - his friend and roommate since high school. A package deal! A quick search at the library revealed that the nickname of Cincinnat's all-irish regiment in the Civil War had been "The Bloody Tinth". The quartet knew they had struck gold. Bassist Nick Lorenz joined the Tinth later that year - another stroke of unbelievable luck - and the line up was complete. Bookings at pubs and festivals in all the major cities of Ohio soon followed, and an invitation to perform at the Ancient Order of Hibernians National Conference in 2009 launched the band into the larger world of vibrantly performed, passionately written Celtic-influenced American music.
