Description

We are hosting this summit because we want to create a healthier and more empathetic community. We are spreading awareness about neurodiversity and educating anyone who wants to learn. Neurodiversity encompasses many different attributes, and is a spectrum of spectrums. Many neurodiverse people are ignored, shamed and told to 'be different' or 'act normal' often causing internal distress. Come to hear about the lived experience of neurodiverse community members, eg. people with ADHD or who might have a stutter. Learn about how they have navigated the world we live in. We will also hear from those who help neurodiverse folks, therapists, and other helpers. We will provide a light breakfast, a boxed lunch and a little swag to take home with you. Nina G, Stuttering Comedian and Dyslexic Writer will kick us off with a talk about her journey as a neurodiverse human. See you soon!! Nina G is a comedian, professional speaker, comedy historical consultant and author of Stutterer Interrupted and Bay Area Stand-Up Comedy: A Humorous History. She has been featured in/on everything from NPR's 51%, BBC's Ouch, Psychology Today, Tedx, KQED radio and multiple day time talk shows and podcasts. This Spring her first solo album as well as comedy special comes out!
