The Awardees are: Kaitlyn Kohler and Erica Kohler from Face Foundrie will be receiving the Newer Business AwardPatrice Picard from Corner Stone Family Programs & The Neighborhood House will be receiving the long Standing Business Award Allie Sharkey, our very own Ms. Morristown, will be receiving the Melody Whitelaw Community AwardWe are looking forward to having Tara Bernie as our keynote speaker and Emcee! About Tara: As an Emmy winning Senior Correspondent and five-time Emmy nominated Senior Producer, Tara Bernie is no stranger to the spotlight. Her prominent roles in the television industry include Senior Content Producer for PEOPLE (the tv show!), Senior Correspondent and Senior Producer for the nationally syndicated DailyMailTV, and Access Hollywood. Earlier in her career she spent ten years in Los Angeles as a reporter and producer. Her first job in the industry was as Howard Stern’s intern. Tara has traveled the world interviewing the biggest names in Hollywood covering events (Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, Golden Globes, Sundance, Super Bowl XLVIII), countless red carpets, movie premieres, and tv and movie set visits. She has also crossed over into the sports world interviewing Major League football, baseball, basketball and golf greats. Furthermore, she has had one-on-one interviews with two POTUS, Secretaries of State, and covered the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She has graciously volunteered her time as the host for charity events such as MorristownOnstage, St. Jude Rock for Hope, Icing Smiles, and Morristown Festival of Books. Tara is a Dean’s List graduate of William Paterson University, where she was chosen as a top 10 journalism student to travel to Ecuador, South America as a special assignment reporter. For the past 18 years, Tara has made her home in Morristown with her two ambitious daughters, who attend New York Film Academy and The Fashion Institute of Technology, respectively. As an advocate for physical and mental health and healing, Tara is a 200HR RYT Certified Yoga instructor who teaches in studio, corporate and private lessons. Even though her career and life may appear like a fairytale, Tara’s “behind the scenes” life is anything but. Her journey of overcoming adversities of becoming a young widow, cancer survivor, and unemployed on government assistance is truly inspirational.
