If you have a child with an IEP, want to ensure you understand it, and find ways to advocate that it is balanced and as non-confrontational as possible; you are in the right place. Our session will look at the key components of an IEP, how to find them, and understand what they mean. We will also explore translating your requests into school-based language to ensure clear understanding for all. We will all practice decoding an IEP together. Everyone will walk away with key phrases schools use, what they mean, a translation of those phrases (parent to school), and additional reference materials.
