Join local artist, Caroline Porter, on March 23rd from 5:00 - 7:00 for a new Watercolor Bookmark Workshop! At this workshop, you'll learn three styles of bookmarks; the new Jellyfish design, the Potted Cactus, and the Abstract and Ink. This workshop is in conjunction with a Mini Book Fair! Besties with Books from PaperPie organized a miniature book fair to run from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Plenty of time to shop before or during breaks in class! Tickets are only required to participate in Bookmark Workshop.* Like in all classes by Caroline, you'll learn basic watercolor skills to start painting at home! Each bookmark covers different techniques and is great for beginners. All materials are included and each bookmark comes with a protective cellophane sleeve. Featured Bookmarks: 1. Jellyfish - features a shimmering cool toned jellyfish. Painted with iridescent watercolors from Enlightened Watercolors. This one shines in the light! 2. Potted Cactus - paint a pre-drawn bookmark of a potted cactus plant. Choose your own colors or feel free to mimic an example. 3. Abstract and Ink - a fun and colorful bookmark that you can outline in ink. You choose your own color scheme. This event is hosted by The Local Makers Collective located at 14234 U Street Omaha, NE 68137. All materials are included. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages.
