“The Movement, an acapella musical,” an original work composed by Kathy D. Harrison tells the story of the children and teens in Alabama who stood against racial injustice in 1963 – and changed American History. Through harmonious singing, rhythmic step dance and narrative scenes, this civil rights story illuminates the courage of young Americans. This production was created by LEAP Artists Live! whose mission is to provide educational arts programs to promote access and equity for NYC students underserved in the arts.
