The MESPY's Appreciation Awards event celebrates the men and women who coach, mentor and teach our Marion County athletes. The event is a coaches appreciation dinner and awards ceremony, sponsored by Ocala's Celebrity's Soul Food & Catering Company, for all employed public school high school coaches in Marion County, plus coaches from Meadowbrook Academy, Ocala Christian, St. John Lutheran and Trinity Catholic. Each coach or assistant coach is allowed one guest. This is the third year of the coaches dinner, which is part of the Marion County Excellence in Sports Performance by Youth, known as the MESPY's. The MESPY's, in their fifth year, celebrates and honors outstanding high school athletes from Marion County and is set to take place May 24 at the Marion Technical Institute auditorium
