It’s time to check on the garden that’s been resting since winterized in November! We will learn the soil testing results done on samples four months ago and add the recommended amendments to help get our soil into optimal health for growing seasons. We will also learn about microbes and their vital role in a balanced and diverse ecosystem.
Schools enBloom! is a program for community stakeholders (i.e., students, teachers, and the community) to co-create school food gardens. These living “garden classrooms” solve real-world, farm-to-market challenges using STE(A)M, alternative wellness, and public health approaches.
Bring gloves and garden tools if you have them, or borrow ours. Bring your water bottle and a friend or three. This activity is open to all ages and abilities.
