Al Schenck's knowledge of Snake Den Farm is remarkable. As a frequent birder of the Farm, Al has spotted some great birds including the discovery of the Common Cuckoo several years ago. It is with pleasure to have Al lead a walk for the club at his favorite local place to bird. Conditions: The conditions at Snake Den Farm consist of flat farm roads, grassy paths, and wooded trails. It is best to wear hiking boots seeing that the road and trail conditions can be wet and muddy. If you have a scope, you may wish to bring it in the case that something good shows up in one of the fields in the area. At one point, there were portable restrooms available but they may have been taken away since then. Heavy rain cancels walk. Directions: The map below will give you directions to Wicked Tulips which is located on the site of the park. Participants will meet at the parking area off Brown Avenue where the farm house is located. Look for the sign to Snake Den Farm. Leader: Al Schenck
