Our book selection for the month of March is a story that will have you reading and laughing out loud!! This is a story of revenge, humor, family drama, and unexpected outcomes. Here's what others are saying about Mrs. Wiggins: (Amazon Reviews):
Geri Evans: This is another excellent book by Author Mary Monroe!! My expectations for this story were not even close!! I could understand how Maggie arrived at her circumstances, but her results were very unexpected and surprising to me! But when you consider the timeline, the history, racism, bigotry and homophobia, you can understand her reality!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, surprises and all!! I also highly recommend it!! Kudos, Mary!
SummerNJasper: I ain't never read such a book in my life!! I know church folk do some things but these folks doing to much!! It is an interesting read and will keep you turning the page. Now this would make a good movies nah a serious on Netflix rated mature.
J G: 'Mrs. Wiggins' was very mesmerizing. The dark comedy was filled with adversity, hilarity, secrets, love, and heartache. I liked the author's writing style: well-written and engaging characters, vivid descriptions, an interesting time frame set over decades during the Jim Crow era in Alabama, and an arcane wittiness about the main character's POV in her narration. Mrs. Wiggins, the main character, was something else! Overall, I liked the enthralling narrative.
DONT MISS THE FUNNNN!!!! WE'RE HAVING A PICNIC!!!!
