Join fellow Catholics as we travel for fun and fellowship to Concordia, Kansas to see the Whole Wall Mural, the longest Sculpted Brick Mural in the USA at the Cloud County Museum. The next stop will be the National Orphan Train museum where the trains ran from 1854-1929. Our bus driver will then take us to the Nazareth Convent and Academy, spiritual home for the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Father Jim Mainzer will offer mass then we’ll enjoy a catered lunch at the convent before we tour the massive five-story brick and native stone building laid in 1902. The Convent was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. After our tour at the convent, our final stop will be to tour the Brown Grand Theatre a restored opera house that was built in 1907. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
