Description
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "Elemental Strokes" in all Zentangle art. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." We call them tiles, because you can assemble them into mosaics. BYOB $35 materials packet included. This session begins Tuesday, February 8 and continues for 8 weeks through March 15 6:00-7:30 pm You may arrive 15 minutes early, and can bring in outside food (nut free environment) and drink of your choice. Located: 192 W Joliet Street, Crown Point, IN Enter through the BLUE door on WEST STREET. (corner building and address will take you to the Crystal Lady) We are not handicap accessible, and have stairs to enter. Call us for access through the side door if you cannot use steps without assistance. Parking: Street parking 3 spots in front of shop on West street, on Joliet Street, on street near bulldog park, and in the Chase Bank parking lot. Additional parking 1/2 block away in public lot on West street and at the little league field. Through the Zentangle Method of drawing, you can Relax, focus, expand your imagination. About the instructor: Lyn Czalpa Lyn received her Bachelor of Fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1995. She attended Calumet College of St. Joseph completing her Bachelor of Science. She has been teaching art for 20 years. She has devoted years to being a wildlife and animal artist. Married, has a son and 7 cats. Lyn is TNR certified, works with feral cats in the community and has been riding horses for over 40 years, Lyn became a certified Zentangle teacher in September 2022 after seeing so many of her students suffering from anxiety. Zentangle has taught her to live in joy, release anxiety and to give a brain break.
