After many requests from past attendees, BearWatch is back! For 17 years, over 250 people gathered in Galveston, Texas at a host hotel and enjoyed bar night, beach party, and pool party. This year, the Houston Bears will be hosting an evening cruise event in Clear Lake to launch BearWatch 2024. The Houston Bears use these events to not only to build comradery with our Bear community, but also to raise money for our designated charities. During the event, we will provide food, beverages (including beer & liquor) and entertainment . Feel free to dress the part! Studio 54 theme! Bring out the afros, lamé outfits and sequins! Prefer to take your own transportation? You can meet us there. The Houston Bears is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable and social organization based in Houston, Texas serving the greater Houston area. Our membership transcends gender, race, age and ethnicity to include bears, cubs, otters, admirers and other allies to the Bear Community. We strive to be a positive and diverse force in our community, pursuing a mission based on the principles of Community Service, Fellowship, Fun and Lasting Friendships. Every year, the Houston Bears designates several charities to whom we pledge our support. The Organization’s 2023 charities are Pet Patrol & South Houston Early College High School Gay-Straight Alliance. We support these charities by hosting various types of fundraising events throughout the year including our monthly Bear Bust events, OSO Sunday Fundays, and Bear Tubing. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
