A 2-Hour In-Person Event in Chapel Hill, North CarolinaNature Meditation with Mare and JuniperJoin meditation teacher Juniper Haile for an afternoon of outdoor meditation practice in a beautiful forested city park in Chapel Hill, NC. Opening to the wisdom of Spring, you will learn how to bring loving awareness into your heart and mind, as we wander through the woods together. Experience an inner stillness and learn ways to reconnect with yourself and the earth as we sit quietly among the trees. What to Expect:This event will include periods of sitting and walking meditation along with guided instructions and time for questions and sharing. Return home relaxed and reconnected. We will meet at the trailhead parking lot located at near the Center for Peace Church. Please be on time as we will be walking from there into the park. This practice is suitable for all levels of meditation experience and is especially designed for beginners. Mare and Juniper welcome all humans 15 years and older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. About the Benefits of Meditation: Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. You can also use it to relax and cope with stress by refocusing your attention on something calming. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace. They later moved to Nashville where they enjoyed nature photography, kayaking, stargazing, and hiking the foothills of the Appalachians. It was there they began their meditation practice. Juniper has since completed several courses on Buddhism and mindfulness, including the 'Awake in the Wild' nature meditation teacher training. A licensed hiking guide and Wilderness First Responder, they now live in North Carolina and help folks of all ages reconnect with nature. Their ultimate goal is to advocate for our earth and all species, encouraging others to protect them. Mare RulandMare Ruland (she/they), Kula Cloth CEO and Gratitude Consultant has been facilitating joy, memes, community and silliness at Kula for over 4 years now. Meditation has been an intrical part of their life over the past 12 years, in particular, yoga nidra, guided practices, won buddism and nature meditation. Their Mindfulness practices in beautiful outdoor spaces have provided grounding roots while navigating lifes challenges. It is their dream to be to share different forms of meditation via skilled practitioners with others in an inclusive, come as you are form. Bringing together teachers and community to create loving accepting spaces. Mare has a deep love and passion for working with non profit and grassroots organizations, finding ways to integrate redistribution of funds to those doing amazing work in marginalized spaces.
