Celebrate the Festival of Colors by dancing through clouds of bright powder that ensure you walk away a visible representation of community, spring, and joy! Holi is a spring festival during which participants celebrate by throwing colored powder at each other while they dance and celebrate. Please note that while powder generally washes out of clothing, it is likely that by coming onsite you will have powder fall on you, so please wear clothing that you agree may be stained. Featuring music, dance, and other performances, join us on March 19th in Johnson-Springview Park to participate in this beautiful, free, and family-friendly celebration! Event Schedule : Snacks - 11 - 11:30 AMColors Throwing - 11:30 - 12 PMKids games Seating: Seats are available at Gazebo area. You are welcome to bring a blanket or a standard sized lawn chair If you bring a chair or blanket please make sure that you understand that it may be exposed to colored powder and it may stain.Amenties/Others: Color throwing is permitted only in lawn area.Restrooms are available at the park.Colored Powder : No outside powder allowed. In addition, it provides an opportunity for the children to learn about the rich and ancient cultural heritage of India, through organizing an annual event, fund raising for social causes, and other cultural events where the youth actively participate.
