Together we'll learn about best practices and tips and tricks to create a pollinator garden at your home. We'll discuss design ideas for yearlong pollinator support, maintenance strategies that protect pollinators, and specific plants that bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds love for various spots in your garden. There will be time for Q and A at the end so come with any questions you have.
Our speaker is Lauren Gentry, Urban Earth's retail sales manager. Lauren grew up mostly in Illinois and has always loved prairie wildflowers. She went to college in Michigan where she studied chemistry in the classroom and local ecology along Lake Michigan in her spare time. After moving to Memphis, she became a high school chemistry and biology teacher while growing her own garden during the summers. Lauren will share her love of science and research as well as lessons learned the hard way from many of her own gardening mistakes and misadventures.
