Workshop Description:
Play Therapy supervision can look different between supervisor to supervisor as they each embrace different styles, perspectives, interventions, and theory into supervision. Famous for its cross-theoretical use, sandtray is an intervention that has proven to be a valuable tool to help support and challenge supervisees as they develop their clinical and play therapy skills. Come join us for a deeper look into utilizing sandtray throughout your supervisee’s journey of becoming a play therapist.
Workshop Objectives:
1. Participants of this workshop will examine the risks and rewards of utilizing sandtray in their play therapy supervisory practice.
2. Participants of this workshop will demonstrate 3 sandtray protocols aimed at both supporting and challenging their supervisee’s work with clients in the playroom.
3. Participants of this workshop will examine the use of sandtray within the stages of the Integrated Developmental Model in play therapy supervision.
