Brilliant Breakfast Club • Ages 18+ Our older students are invited to hang with us -- in the morning AND late afternoon -- during the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin's Annual Conference in Green Bay! The Brilliant Breakfast Club (BBC) is tailored for young adults 18+ interested in a social experience and peer discussion designed to foster pathways toward independence. Discussion will touch on daily living skills including health and nutrition, finances, job searches, community engagement, and more. Facilitated by special education professionals and interns, participants have the opportunity to meet with their peers and grow together by building a community of mutual support. Friday, April 21 • 7:30am-8:30am Meet up location: KI Convention Center; Main BallroomActivity: The group will have breakfast together and participate in a facilitated discussion. Consider this an awesome power hour to get your morning off to an energized start!Friday, April 21 • 5:00pm-6:00pm Meet up location: KI Convention Center; Main BallroomActivity: We'll get the group back together again but this time for a creative project! Participants will have the chance to create and connect during a 60 minute workshop with their peers in a safe and supportive environment through art, storytelling, and STEaM-based projects. Using creative technologies, pencil, pen, or paper, participants will have the opportunity to draw, create, and share their artwork with others. When: Friday, April 21 • 7:30am-8:30am AND 5:00-6:00pm Location: KI Convention Center / 333 Main St. / Green Bay Cost: FREE! Creative supplies needed: IOB to provide. However, if your student would like to bring their own iPad or sketchbook, that is certainly A-OK! If you have questions about supplies, please email [email protected] and we can answer. Can your participant only come to one of the sessions? That's A-OK! We will ask for confirmation as to which session they will be attending during the registration process. I will not use inappropriate, profane, obscene or aggressive language/drawings.WAIVER POLICY As a condition to my child’s participation in the Islands of Brilliance program, I hereby release and hold harmless Islands of Brilliance, volunteer staff and mentors, and all of their respective owners, employees, agents and representatives, from and against all claims, damages and other liabilities whatsoever, including but not limited to personal injury, illness or property damage, which relate in any way to my child’s participation in the Islands of Brilliance program.
