The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce will offer its 10th annual Evening of Celtic Music and Dance, at the Roxy Theatre, on Saturday, March 25, at 7 p.m.
The event will feature the music of Ireland and Scotland, from traditional to contemporary, performed on Uilleann pipes, bouzouki, fiddle, penny whistle, guitar, bodhran, and vocals. Performers will include traditional Irish band Bealtaine from Pittsburgh, Tom Freeland, Jim GraySmith, Jordan GraySmith, and others, as well as the dancers of the O'Kennedy-Holland Irish Dance Academy.
Traditional Irish and Scottish baked goods, including shortbread, scones, double fudge Irish cream cookies, Irish dairy cake, whiskey cake, gingersnaps, and more will be available by donation, and chances will be available for a Celtic raffle basket.
All proceeds will benefit improvements and programming at the Roxy.
