People have asked for it and Worcester County 4-H is making this exciting experience happen? Starting on Monday, April 24th we will begin a six session Activity Club which will be taught by professional artists of Worcester County, Maryland. There will be two sessions on glass fusion, two sessions on ceramics/sculpture and two sessions on landscape water color painting. Activity Dates: 4/24/23- Glass Fusion Learn about the art of glass and create a plate that is fired in the kiln. Guest Instructor- Kim Klump. 5/1/23- Glass Fusion- Finish the first project and make the second project. Guest Instructor-Kim Klump. 5/15/23-Ceramics/Sculpture- Guest instructor -Gary Weber 5/22/23-Ceramics/Sculpture-Guest instructor -Gary Weber 6/5/23-Acrylic Color Landscape-Guest Instructor - Shane Kio 6/12/23-Acrylic Color Landscape- Shane Kio Make up class to be determined. About the Artists! Shane Kio is an artist and teacher who has worked with children for over 30 years. He taught in the public school system for 25 years before retiring to open his own pottery studio, Wockypots, in Pocomoke, Md, where he creates unique pieces of pottery and offers a variety of art instruction classes for both adults and children. Gary Weber is an accomplished artist that sells his work throughout the country. His work can currently be seen at the Artist's Connection in the Snow Hill Gallery. Kim Klump also sells her work throughout the Delmarva Penisnsula. She currently has her studio at the Artisti Connection in the Snow hill Gallery.
