March is hard. It’s almost spring; we are ready to leave off the cold and enjoy to warmer weather. But we know that it could still snow and turn cold. We have “cabin fever”, we are a little bit cranky, and we need to stretch and socialize! We need to go out, have fun and recharge our batteries. We need to get out, laugh and reenergize our personal and professional lives. It is time for new growth, new opportunities and new adventures. This month, the CNY Women’s Network is excited to celebrate Women’s Month at the March Monthly Mingle! Grab your friends, throw on something fun and let’s get happy at the Monthly Mingle Happy Hour on March 29, 2023 at the Pressroom Pub! Spending time with people that inspire you, care about you, and have your best interest at heart helps to restore a part of us- especially when the rest of the world seems determined to beat us down. Too much time isolated and alone does not allow you to reenergize the creative spark your brain and spirit need to have a fulfilled life. In this digital age, we often try to convince ourselves that social media can take the place of social interaction, but this is not the case. We need that human connection to reinvigorate and create. We need to build those in-person connections into our lives to continue to develop and protect our mental health and happiness. The CNY Women's Network is hosting a monthly networking event in the CNY area where individuals can get together to mingle and network. • Are you a professional looking to gain clients?• Are you a young professional looking for a mentor?• Are you a seasoned professional willing to share your words of wisdom?• Or are you just looking for the opportunity to expand your network?• Are you just starting out with your own business and need to make connections? Then this event is for you. Everyone is welcome- all genders, all professions, ages 21+. Come out and meet new people in a laid-back environment. Registration is requested to ensure that the venue is staffed and ready to take care of us. There is no fee for this event; you only pay for what you order. At this event, we will be raffling off a basket with the proceeds going to the foundation being started in memory of former CNY Women’s Network member and Master Mingler, Women’s Opportunity Center Alumni, Zonta Club of Syracuse Alumni, Cherise Hunter-Titus. Cherise passed away unexpectedly on February 14, and her friends and family are starting a scholarship foundation in her memory to help survivors of abuse. Cherise was an avid advocate and champion of women and children, and there is no better way to honor her memory than helping to carry on her passion. Join us and help support this foundation which will be called “Hello, Beautiful!”.
