This event will feature an auction of items and special experiences donated to BAFB by corporations,
organizations and individuals who support our work in the community. The proceeds of the auction will
go directly to supporting BAFB in carrying out its mission.
BAFB receives donated, gently used furniture that we deliver to those in need who have been referred to
us by partner agencies. Sometimes we augment donations by purchasing items.
The Bay Area Furniture Bank’s beneficiaries include families and individuals who, while receiving
assistance finding shelter from local social service agencies, still experience furniture poverty. Once they
receive shelter, they rarely have the means to purchase the most basic items, such as a bed, or a table
and chairs.
