CARRY FOR LIFE© IIIHit the ground & low light shooting! A must have taken Carry For Life! Only 5 Students per ClassStanding tall may look great on the big screen, but doing so in real life can lead to undesired outcomes.  In this class, new firing positions such as kneeling, sitting, and prone will be added as you learn how to shoot from the ground and other non-traditional firing positions.   Also, you will learn to think as you fire from cover, fire while moving, shoot-move-shoot, fire at moving targets, and be challenged with problem-solving situations, such as firing from left and right barricades. Finally, this course emphasizes state-of-the-art techniques in deploying your handgun in low-light situations, including shooting while holding a flashlight in one hand. You will practice-ready positions, drawing your gun while holding a flashlight in one hand, coping with malfunctions, and reloading.  Use of cover and concealment while using a flashlight and other light sources, including available light, will be taught. Prerequisite: Must have a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit, NRA Basic Pistol Course, or other approved training AND have completed Carry for Life© I and Carry for Life© II. Carry for Life!© III: Hit the Ground & Low LightTuition: $150.00 Ammunition: 300 rounds of factory ammunition are required Hours: 4 hours What You Need to Bring:Handgun:  Your double-action revolver or single-action/double-action semi-auto pistol, centerfire caliber. It must be in good working order.   For Reloading:  For a revolver, you will need 2-speed loaders.  For a semi-automatic, you will need two additional magazines. You need the means to carry the speed loaders or magazines as you would for everyday carry. Holster:  Your daily carry holster.  Holsters must correctly fit the weapon, completely cover the trigger guard, remain open when the weapon is removed, and not allow the weapon to cover the shooter’s body.  No Thigh Rigs (Galco: Speed Master, Combat Master, or Avenger; Bianchi: Askins' Avenger or 4L. Kydex is allowed). No Serpa Holsters by Blackhawk, gun pouches, shoulder, ankle, or cross-draw holsters allowed. Belt:  You will need a good quality belt to hold your holster. Tip: Be sure to wear pants with belt loops that your belt fits. Protection:  Prescription glasses or shooting glasses and hearing protection are required. Eye and ear protection will be provided at no charge if needed. FAQs Must I bring my printed ticket to the event? It is best if you do. However, we can check you in without it. What happens if I register for a class and cannot attend? If you cannot attend, let us know as soon as possible. If someone on the wait list buys your ticket, we can refund your money. If no one fills your space, we cannot refund your class tuition. What is the REFUND POLICY? Class fees/tickets are NON-refundable. By registering, you are buying a ticket for a seat in a limited class.   I missed my class. May I get a refund? We count on every seat being filled.  Thus, we do not offer refunds (see Refund Policy above).  The instructor must be paid even if you are unable to attend. What if I am LATE for class? It would be best to arrive about 15 minutes early (before the course). Classes start PROMPTLY at the scheduled start time. Because late arrivals may disrupt the class, you may be prohibited from entering the classroom until the first break, which could jeopardize your successful completion of the course. PLEASE allow sufficient travel time. CLASS MAY BE CANCELED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION.  SHOULD THIS HAPPEN, WE WILL RESCHEDULE YOU FOR ANOTHER CLASS AT NO CHARGE.
