Description
Join us March 18th to learn about sustainable food production and help install a market garden and demonstration food forest garden to provide food to underserved communities in Fairfield!
This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create a demonstration food forest garden at the City Church of Fairfield providing an opportunity to learn about permanent beds, hedgerows, and permaculture.
This project is in partnership with City Church of Fairfield
Day 2: Saturday, March 18th - Irrigation and Planting
Learn how to plant plants and ensure they have everything they need to thrive.* wear closed toe shoes, sun protection, bring gloves and water
* Lunch will be provided
*Bring your own lunch if you have special dietary needs
Safety Guidelines
Volunteers are encouraged to wear close toed shoes, sunscreen, hats, and bring water to hydrate during the event. If you have gardening gloves please wear those, and note we will have extras to share.If you have any questions please contact [email protected]
