Come play with clay during this 2 hour workshop, where you will learn how to hand build your own pottery piece ! Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create your own hand built pottery piece, by coiling, pull pinching and rolling slabs. Each ticket includes supplies: 2.2 lbs. of air dry clay and tools to sculpt with. ** 15% of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Crisis Support Services of Alameda County. Participants will leave with their own handcrafted air dry pottery piece. All materials will be provided by workshop host. **Please allow your pieces to dry before painting** About the instructor... Antonia Lara Sanchez is a trained industrial designer with a BFA from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso, Chile. She considers herself as a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on storytelling and empowering the Latine community through graphic design, photography, embroidery. For the past five years Antonia has worked as an artist and design educator in Providence, RI and most recently in Oakland, CA. During her free time, Antonia likes to be in her studio creating ceramic pieces, sewing, learning how to dj and macrame.
