During the workshop, aspiring writers will find their motivation through thought-provoking prompts, hearing from others, gaining and giving feedback. Writers will be taught how to develop their writer's voice based upon the audience to whom they choose to write. I will discuss with the aspiring writers how to develop their characters, how to write for children, and how to share a family story without being excommunicated. The final hour of the workshop will be devoted to the self-publishing process. We will discus editing, the pros and cons of different self-publishing companies, cover design, and marketing. The 3-hours will pass quickly, and all will leave ready to go write their book.
