High School Seniors from bands in Baldwin County High Schools compete by application on past accomplishments in music performance, participation in community groups and leadership along with joining and performing with the Baldwin Pops. Scholarships are provided by the John Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund managed by the Baldwin Pops. John Allen was a gentlemen that started learning tuba at the age of 74 , by joining Fairhope Middle School Band. After a few years he was able to join the Pops and inspired us all to never be afraid to learn and never give up on a dream.
