Breathe with us through a 40-minute yoga class led by Certified yoga instructor Keturah Williams of Mindful Wellness. Immediately following the class, connect with other like-minded wellness-focused participants as you enjoy a delicious brunch provided by Portage Bay Café! Our experienced instructor will guide participants through postures with detailed instruction on alignment, breath, and relaxation. We will focus on building strength, flexibility, and balance in a non-judgemental and supportive atmosphere. No prior yoga or exercise experience is necessary. Don't miss out on this opportunity to nourish your mind, body, and soul and experience the bliss of yoga, brunch, and community! Yoga Class Information: Movements will be synchronized with the breath and the use of supportive pillows, blankets, and/or yoga props is encouraged to support the body and aid in the release of tension. No prior yoga or exercise experience is necessary. Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle.Participants are encouraged to bring a pillow and/or a small foldable blanket to support the body during class but these items are not required. A very limited number of supportive yoga props will be available for use .Sanitizing spray and towels will be available.Meet your Instructor: Keturah grew up in the greater Washington DC area and received her bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in health policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University. Following graduation, she joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and during the 2013 government shutdown, she discovered her love of yoga. She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from the Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica and began offering weekly classes to NIH employees. Keturah moved to Seattle in 2019 and began teaching power yoga, yin yoga, and chair yoga while working remotely for the NIH as a Senior Budget Analyst. Outside of work and teaching yoga, Keturah enjoys spending time with her dog BJ. She loves finding ways of making yoga accessible to all body types, ages, and abilities and looks forward to sharing her love of yoga with you! We look forward to seeing you on your mat!
