Join us again for our monthly mixer, where film industry members gather and meet on March 23rd at 7:00, with speakers at 8:00: If you're new to town or looking to find crew or actors, this is the best place to be. Meeting in person and networking is the way to success in the film industry; nothing can beat face-to-face engagement. We have two special speakers at 8:00 this month, Kelly Young-Silva and Diego Silva Aceveda. You can read their extensive biographies below: Kelly Young-Silva is an accomplished owner and trainer at Words In Motion Acting Studio. He is the owner of Seven Studios Production and has worked with well-known brands such as Cox Media Group, Toyota, NFL, NASCAR, and Mundo Hispanico. With his impressive credentials and experience, Diego is a talented filmmaker to watch in the industry. The Atlanta Film Production Group (www.facebook.com/groups/AtlantaFPG) is the largest film community in the greater Atlanta area. Founded by Edward Reid back in 2014, it has almost 36K members ranging from brand-new filmmakers to seasoned veterans. The AFPG is here as a resource for the community to network, troubleshoot, ask questions, find locations, and crew up. etc. Our goal is to build a strong and thriving community, so everyone needs to remember that you only get what you put into it. Everyone here is valuable and essential to making the group what it is. We have to support each other not just during production but afterward. We spend days, weeks, and months on a project, so building an audience is as important as putting the cast and crew together. As creators, we should be the first ones watching our community's content because we personally know how important that is. We have witnessed individuals find their cast and crew, complete their films, then get distribution (I am an example). It is up to you, your motivation, and your planning (and sometimes luck) as to if you will succeed in this industry. That is what we want for you, and we want to help support you. We look forward to you being a part of our thriving community.
