About the Event:The Center for Community Engagement invites you to a practical workshop entitled, “How to Start a Non-Profit Organization'' on Saturday, March 18th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. (Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m.). Led by Dr. Wesley Proctor, this practical workshop will cover the benefits of 501c3 corporation, the necessary paperwork, and other specifics of starting a nonprofit. Materials including books will be given to each attendee.
About the Speaker: Dr. Wesley Tyrone Proctor is an award-winning scholar, author, youth pastor, professor, and community leader. Dr. Proctor has helped hundreds of churches and nonprofits obtain their 501c3 status from the IRS. As the CEO/Founder of Wesley Proctor Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization, he strives to expand spiritual and academic excellence. In addition to starting a nonprofit, Dr. Proctor is also involved with several nonprofits, including the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for AIDS Research. His leadership and vision have been recognized by several organizations and universities across the nation. He is also an Assistant Professor at Villanova University and Executive Administrator at Victory Christian Center.
