Description

Join the Seattle Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club for a morning of birding at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. We will meet in the main parking lot near the information kiosk at 9:30 a.m. The entrance to the parking lot is off Fauntleroy Way SW, between SW Monroe St. and SW Kenyon St. Closest Metro transit bus stops are at Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St. Rapid Ride C Line serves the stops north and south bound. More details available here. Restrooms are available at several points within the park. The trails on this outing are a combination of paved and packed earth. There is a steeply sloped decline down to the waterfront, and potentially stairs to ascend. Alternate routes can avoid stairs and the decline (alternate meeting point: reserved van-accessible parking is available at the waterfront.) Please dress for the weather. We suggest bringing snacks and/or warm drinks. Whether you're new to birding or a seasoned songbird seeker, this will be a great opportunity to connect with our feathered friends and fellow feminists. All are welcome on this outing! *It is important to us to make sure that we continue to take care of one another during our in-person events. We plan to follow current health guidelines. Masks are currently optional on this walk, but we encourage people to bring a mask for social interactions. This outing is limited to 30 people, and we will be breaking into smaller groups. We also require that all participants follow our code of conduct. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any general or accessibility questions, or need to borrow a pair of binoculars!
