The John Holaday Memorial Lecture (3/31/23 @ 12 pm EST) This memorial lecture will feature Dr. David Casarett, MD. He is the author of more than 100 journal articles, along with numerous magazine articles and books. In his third book, Stoned: A Doctor's Case for Medical Marijuana, he takes a first-person investigative journalist's approach to make sense of marijuana's therapeutic potential and adverse effects. He shares what he's learned about this chronically misunderstood drug -- including the control it gives patients over their health and the educational atmosphere of dispensaries -- and outlines what we still need to do to explore its potential health benefits. Consider attending this lecture (if you're able) from 12-1pm in Pharmacy Hall North Room 103 (the security guard will direct you).
